In July of 2009, a Robert Manwill was eight years old and was beaten and murdered by his mother's boyfriend. Years later a small group of teachers and community members wanted to keep his memory alive. They started the Robert Manwill Scholarship Fund to gift awards to graduating classmates with Robert Manwill.
Working with local artists, this group created a Robert Manwill Artist's For Kids Auction. Local and national artists donated art to this auction.
Over the years the Robert Manwill Fun Run was added. This event brought runners from all over the Treasure Valley to participate in a 5K and 1 Mile run.
In 2019 the Robert Manwill Scholarship Fund distributed scholarships to five students.
