Payette HTC Adopts A Family for Christmas

For the month of December, Payette’s Hometown Competitiveness Group is sponsoring a local family for Christmas. The group is currently seeking donations for a family of four. According to group facilitator Liz Amason needs include a Christmas tree, Christmas dinner and gifts for the couple’s 5-year-old and 1-year-old sons.

Donations can be dropped off at Coldwell Banker Classic Properties, 1545 S. Main St., Payette. To help coordinate a meal item or for more information, contact Liz Amason at (208) 740-0111 via phone call or text. Additional information can also be found on Facebook.

In other news, some HTC members recently volunteered during the annual Santa at the Museum event hosted by the Payette County Museum. Payette HTC was on hand to help staff members as more than 400 people turned out to tour the museum and visit with Santa.

The Payette Pirate Marquee is all but finished. The components are completed and awaiting installation. According to Amason the group will need coordinated help and equipment for the final install, all pending good weather.

The Payette HTC Group meets from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Payette City Library. Anyone interested in participating is invited to attend.
